It's tough for Australia to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a team that has accomplished all there is.

That it took up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their batsmen to maintain a record if never given the opportunity.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was much more difficult to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"The possibility to go out there and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at a World Cup - and her ton in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was dismissed Australia required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the assurance to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we believe we can do it."

That comment will be the last Australia's opponents at this tournament want to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will win from any position has grown stronger - this victory succeeding win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at a significant event.

So great is her will, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

Yet even as she afterwards confessed those physical issues have pushed back plans to retire, this championship is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is yet to win a world championship as captain.
